New York’s Doug Gomez started his career in 1987 as a Hip Hop, Freestyle and House Music DJ. He worked for ZYX Music and Waako Records from 1994 to 2005 as A&R/promotions director releasing tracks from artists like Kings of Tomorrow (Sandy Rivera), Lenny Fontana, StoneBridge, Jeremias Santiago, Kenny Carpenter, Mood II Swing to name a few.

In 2007, he teamed up with a friend to create the nudisco sound under the alias Drrtyhaze. Before his sound turned to labels like MoBlack, Cabana Recordings, Offering recordings, Sole Channel, King Street Sounds, Plastik People, Global Diplomacy and many more. All of which led him to be nominated # 1 on the traxsource.com, top afrohouse artists of 2019.

In 2018 he started his own label Merecumbe Recordings, as an outlet for his own music and hot and upcoming producers.
