Faze Action

Last Night a DJ Saved My Life

Faze action aka brothers Simon and Robin Lee made their name blending house music with Western classical, pan-African, and Latin music - heavily influenced by funk, disco, and jazz for over 20 years. They have appeared on labels such as Nuphonic, Seamless, Cr2, Brown Eyed Boyz, Papa and of course their own Faze Action label and credited as having 5 critically acclaimed artist LPs and countless remixes, making them one of the most credible and in demand original artists within the growing Disco, House and Balearic scene.

Releases such as In The Trees and Original Disco Motion were and are stand outs from their discography. With DJ’s such as François Kevorkian being big supporters. They’ve remixed names such as Carl Craig, Jerome Sydenham, Tiger Stripes, Yellow Sox, Diana Brown, D*Note, Femi Kuti, Serge Gainsbourg, Metronomy, Ibibio Sound Machine, Francois Kevorkian and Saint Etienne.

Their early successes, included “In the Trees” that features Robin’s classical ‘cello, and “Disco Motion”, became instant classics on the Nuphonic label and changed the musical landscape at the time, paving the way for the Disco revival of today. As an eight piece live entity, Faze Action have toured extensively with an early stint across North America with Groove Armada

They began their own label, FAR IN 2006 and released the classic Space Disco LP "Stratus Energy”, which included “Good Lovin’” and “I Wanna Dancer”, that received support from Horse Meat Disco, Joey Negro and Dimitri from Paris. Their 2014 LP; “Body of One”, reached a huge audience when the single “Time By Your Side” reached over a million plays on Spotify.

Simon and Robin are also in demand as DJs playing at festivals and clubs with their trademark sets joining the dots between Disco, Afro, Balearic and beyond.
