Neelan Munnick and Luke Mains were better known as Four7 & LukeM. Sadly having just discovered them I’ve also learnt that Neelan was killed in a car crash back in 2014. Which makes their sound all the more impressive as it sounds so fresh today still.

The duo have had a series of mixtape releases with various bootlegs and remixes being showcased with downloads and plays in excess of 40,000 people per release. In other words they were huge! Both self-taught music producers, they found a fresh sound that set them apart from other up and coming DJ’s in South Africa. They appeared on labels including Soul Candi, House Afrika, Syncmelodies and others.
