Last Night a DJ Saved My Life

I have fond memories of Heller & Farley stretching was back into my house music history. From bouncing to Ultra Flava, or lost in their Fire Island sounds right through to them charting UM Records releases over the years. The pair are house music legends!

Few people are as qualified to talk about the UK clubbing’s heyday than Terry Farley and Pete Heller. Recording as part of the Junior Boys Own collective they helped create some of the biggest hits of the nineties. They provided the hit remix of The Farm's Groovy Train; Sunscreem’s Perfect Motion and K Klass’s Don’t Stop - all of those classics!

As Fire Island, Roach Motel and Bocca Juniors the pair shaped house music. Terry Farley - A bastion of knowledge when it comes to acid and deep house, as well as dance culture, soul boy trends, and more besides, Terry is also much lauded for having launched house music fanzine (and label and party series) Boys Own with Andrew Weatherall, Cymon Eckel and Steve Mayes back in the day: it was something that very much went on to document and dictate the trends of the time.

The duo met working at Danny Rampling’s legendary Shoom nightclub in the late 80’s and never looked back!
