Illyus & Barrientos are an electronic music duo from Glasgow consisting of Illyus Brown & Ivan Hall Barrientos who have set dance floors alight in Glasgow and far beyond since getting together. Barrientos has Chilean parent and Illyus grew up in Frankfurt after being born in Govan. They met on Glasgow’s dance floors in 2014, building a friendship over their mutual love of the kind of unashamedly big, floor-filling modern house tunes that have since propelled them to dizzying levels of acclaim.

Their discography kicked off with releases in GU with the pair going on to release on big labels including Toolroom Records, Defected Records and Mother Recordings. Illyus & Barrientos have firmly established their place in the house music elite as DJ’s and producers. The pair have featured frequently on Radio, and were asked to record a mix for the prestigious BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix series.

Having DJ’d around the world from Moscow and Bangkok, to Los Angeles and Mexico City 2019 was a huge year of touring for the duo and 2020 is sure to be the same.
