Kid Fonque has become a huge part of South African electronic music and culture over the last 20 years. A DJ, Producer Label Owner, Promoter and more recently, Radio Host, his profile made be low outside of SA but take a look at the likes of Atjazz, Jimpster, Fred Everything and co’s Spotify ‘Fans Also like’ and he’s an ever present.

His role as label manager of Africa’s seminal dance label Soul Candi Records and nowStay True Sounds has helped shaped the scene. Fonque’s sound embraces everything from Bass and Broken Beats to Bossa Nova, Hip Hop and every shade of House.

Kid Fonque recently started his own radio show called ‘Selective Styles’ on South Africa’s national radio station 5FM. Selective Styles has given Kid the platform to showcase the hidden talent from all over South Africa’s electronic music scene.
