Samthing Soweto is a multi-award winning South African musician named after his hometown of Soweto. His style draws influence from RnB, jazz, and house and of course he’s often associated with the Amapiano sound.

He is a founding member of the renowned South African acapella group ‘The Soil’ - and a check online will tell you the man’s interesting background and how he has risen to these heights from a youth detention centre where he was encouraged to sing by his fellow inmates.

He gained mainstream attention from his feature on record producer, Sun-El Musician's acclaimed song "Akanamali", released in 2017. The singer, song writer and collaborators second album was released in late 2019, gaining the highest number of users "pre-adding" the album on Apple Music South Africa. He’s also collaborated with Black Coffee, Mobi Dixon and the biggest name in Amapiano, Kabza de Small and Dj Maphorisa on ‘Amantombazane’.
